143rd Business Information Providers Association (BIPA) Meeting | 14th June 2023

Recently, Company Watch’s Head of Data and Product Strategy, Chris Oatts chaired the 143rd  annual Business Information Providers Association (BIPA) meeting. The meeting took place on 14th June 2023. 

BIPA’s core aim is to address issues pertinent to the credit industry, using insights from prominent credit referencing agencies based in the UK.  

This year, BIPA members discussed a range of key credit issues, including the VAT data sharing scheme, Companies House reform, and non-financial reporting compliance.  

Sally Baker, Head of Corporate Reporting Strategy at the Institute of Chartered Accounts England and Wales (ICAEW) was also in attendance. She discussed the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act (ECCTA) and offered insights on what the legislation means for the future of the credit industry.
